Default 7.5 and 8.8 axle shafts

Well I purchased an 8.8 because my 7.5 crapped out on me and we installe it and drove the car out of tw driveway and found that the passenger side axle shaft is bent in the 8.8. I'm not that mechanically inclined and just wondering if by any chance the 7.5 axle shaft will fit in the 8.8? On for parts website they look like they are listed together...?

The '05 up 8.8" axle shafts should be 31 spline. the 7.5" has 28 spline shafts.

Thanks, one more question is if the rear I have is ABS then does the shaft have to come from an abs equipped 8.8?

ABS was standard on the GT, so that shouldn't be a problem.
