Question about putting Flowmaster GT Catback on V6
I was wondering if by chance if the Flowmaster Force II catback from the mustang GT's would bolt on the V6? Well basically I was wondering if it would fit on like any x-pipe back system that was made for the V6? Maybe i'm just a idiot for asking this question, but sometimes the dumbest questions are the ones not asked. I put the Dynomax catback on my car and i'm just not into the sound, and i don't want to buy a flowmaster v6 catback and run 2.25" piping all the way back especially if I decide to procharge it down the road lol.

I think the pipe size is different. so you would most likely had to modify to fit, and that could end up making the car run wonky.
Mufflers are one thing, but I have seen when you get closer to the cats you could have issues.

It says you have a 2009 so you have the 4.0 then. Essentially yes the system will fit. But you will have to adjust just like any dual exhaust system.
Did you go duals with the Dynomax already? If so, then just get the mufflers (axle back) and swap mufflers.
If you didn't go dual already then you will cut out the Y pipe after measuring where you need to splice in the H or X (depending upon what is in the cat back kit) and use a step band clamp to go from the 2.25" pipe coming from your exhaust manifold and after the cat into the 2.5" H or X.
That is how the V6 system is set up already. The Y pipe is 2.5" and connects to the pipe after the cats with a band clamp. The mid pipe/over axle pipe is 2.5".
You won't be able to buy a system with the GT cats and go all the way back because it won't mate up to your exhaust manifold flange. You have to cut and splice the duals in.
There is a write up here, and on the Collective, on how to convert to a dual exhaust.

Yeah I currently have the Dynomax catback with the x-pipe and ultraflo mufflers. I think i'm just gonna stick with what I have for now and live with it haha. I've only had em on the car for 2 weeks so the sound is gonna change some with time.

If you do decide, since you already have the X pipe and duals, all you need is the mufflers for any set up. Nothing else to change so buying a "cat back" system will just be spending money on things you already have.
