MPG!!!!!!

RE: MPG!!!!!!
I've found on my `05 V6 that MPG is all over the board depending on how I drive and what kind of driving I do. City driving varies wildly depending on the number of stop lights encountered so I don't worry too much about that number. I've experienced anywhere from 13 to 19 MPG in city driving.
The best highway number I've ever had is right at 30 MPG on a 100 mile trip I travel on a weekly basis and that was with a Bama Chips "torque" program in the computer. With the "performance" program it dropped to 27. But I like the tire smoke aspect of that program so much I doubt I'll change it back. With the factory program on that same 100 mile trip I got about 25 MPG. All trips were driven at 60 MPH using cruse control so that affects results also. My conclusion is the `Stang is never going to be a gas sipper but mid 20s isn't bad and it's still much better on gas than the 4 liter Chreokee "shoebox" I traded in and a heck of a lot more fun.

I don't even know how to create a link...someone fill me in. Anyway, if you do a search on this forum on the term "Cascotech" you'll see the original thread started by Tres Wright...GT duals with how-to with pics. Hope this gets you there.

RE: MPG!!!!!!
i REALLY drive city. with NO highway. and ive been doing the full tank test with my trip meter. i set the trip meer to zero then i use as much gas as i can... i actually just got till it trips the warning light. then i get to the gas station i write down whats on the trip meter, then fill the tank to MAX and then write down how much gas i put in. i used about 14 gallons most of the time.
im getting about 15mpg. but im gonna try speed limit driving and see if i can get better mileage out of it.

RE: MPG!!!!!!
Since I've put in the K&N intake system, I normally get anywhere from 24 to 28 mpg here in Colorado Springs.
On the way down to Alabama for Air Force tech school, I got an average of 30mpg! This was before I put the K&N in!

RE: MPG!!!!!!
I've computed mileage for two trips I've taken, one of 350 miles from here to Fresno and back and one of about 900 miles down to L.A. and back. On the Fresno trip I got 27 mpg, mostly top down and taking back roads more than freeways. On the L.A. trip I got 26 mpg with mostly top up and a lot of stop and go once I got to the L.A. area.
Around town here I get closer to 17 mpg.
