trans coolant leak
Hi All. I have a '06 Mustang V6 automatic and it is leaking coolant from the driver side transmission. There is a black switch of some sort and the coolant is leaking from there. Any idea why it could be leaking from there?
I have done a lot of google searching and haven't found anything that points to this.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Just for something to do, I searched parts for your transmission. I can't find anything about coolant going to your transmission. Only cooling lines for the transmission fluid, nothing about coolant (antifreeze) going to you trans. I 'think' you have a coolant leak somewhere else and it is going to where you think it's leaking from. Just a guess and I could be wrong
The trans cooler runs through the radiator but, if there is a leak in it to the point you're getting coolant into the trans, the effects would be immediate as in bye-bye transmission.
I know this is an old thread, but is there any chance you were able to fix this? I have the same issue. I have antifreeze leaking from somewhere and it’s coming down the driver side of the transmission.
it’s definitely coolant. And NO, antifreeze filled coolant lines do not run to the transmission.
there are transmission fluid filled lines that run to the radiator from the tranny, but they are on the passenger side.
Again, I have antifreeze leaking down the front driver side of my bell housing.
