I think that you made a better choice going with a Detroit Trutrack over the "trashlok". The traklok is a clutch type differential and those clutch packs will wear over time allowing too much slippage. I like the Detroit because it uses pairs of "Helical" gear sets, is gears only - no clutch packs, and is rugged yet smooth and quiet.
If I was running a V6 this is the diff I would go with. I love the gear ratio choice as well. Let us know how it affects your highway RPM while cruising. I ordered a GT and am almost wishing I had saved a few bucks and played with a V6 like you are doing. The fun factor seems to be high.
I do have a question regarding forced induction; do you think the smaller rear end on the v6 will hold up to that kind of torque? Or would you have to get an 8.8 like on the GT?

hey, i was just wondering.....i live on long island too, wher is this guy located? and how much did everything cost, parts and labor? Sounds like a good place to go, does he also sell the parts or do you have to buy them elsewhere and have him install them?

He's in Bohemia ( just by MacArthur Airport). He's a cool guy and really seems to know his stuff. You can look him up online realspeedautomotive.com
It's nice to know there are some 05/06 Long Islander's and that know that mustangs don't only come in v8's. Let me know if you ever go by his place, If I'm around you can take a look at what I've done on my pony...
