Bah! haha, my IQ always drops when I type on the internet, don't know why.
Spartan, wearing out your breaks is the least of your concerns if something goes wrong. Power braking every once in a while may not be drastically bad, but doing it even once every two months could be bad. it CAN also break drive train parts; leaf
springs, axels, etc and that would be expensive as **** to fix. Basically, power braking is a good way to break the rear end out of your car.

RE: Quick Question: Launching
If want to make great burnouts, you could invest in a line-loc instead of a tune.......if u want. Its a device that bolts into the brake system using a solenoid or pressure valve that works like this:
1- step on the brake.
2- engage the line-loc.
3-release the brake pedal.
4-only the rear brakes disengage, the fronts stay on.
They also come with a dash mounted control so you can slowly let up on the fronts
This is what those drag racers on tv have that allows them to make those sky-scraping smoke pillars!!!![sm=insomnia.gif]
But other than this i dont know why u would want to fool with one

uummmm.... I power brake a lot... and i'm running over 380ft/lbs of torque through my 7.5... I do have a track lock which sends power down both axle shafts but still... I really don't think your going to hurt anything (other than brake pads) power braking with a stock V6... of course use common sense... don't try and hold the car back for an extended time... we're talking a few seconds at a time... As soon as the car is staged I start power braking... so I'm holding it a very short time... seconds not minutes... (to long and you can overheat the tranny fluid... )
I think the 7.5 in are cars is lot stronger than most people think...
