Default WHEELS

I have a white mustang with black racing stripes and charcoal interior. Now I want black wheels lol . It is at least $1100 [:@] to buy black wheels and the tires to go with them or its $500 if I buy GT takeoffs with tires. My question is can I buy the GT wheels and paint them black myself with black engine enamel or something like it. This way with the $600+ I save I can buy window louvers and whatever else, LIKE A TUNER! Just wondering if this would be feasible or if I should just buy new ones.

Im sure its feasible, but not so sure how it would turn out. I would just buy the new ones myself.

you could buy the gt take offs and get them powdercoated...or you can just get some black bullit 17s the the silver lip for about the same price since you will have to pay to get the silver ones powder coated

This is how silver wheels look after wet sanding, painting with black engine enamel and cleared

Those look pretty cool but they're missing that glossy, reflective look that most that you can buy have. Were you going for that look or is there just not a way to make them look glossy or whatever (like the black bullit gt wheels)?

Sorry but that doesnt look good at all even if they were glossy those wheels look good on a older model mustang but not ours just an opinion of course.

well i know they dont look the greatest but i dont like the stock wheels at all. I bought the wheels for 250 cuz i needed new tires and a friend of mines gave me tires for 250 and installed them. I am getting some 18in FR500 wheels in black with the silver lip. And the pic was just to show them how silver wheels look painted black
