RE: EMERGENCY BRAKE FROZEN/STUCK
It will always unfreeze so im not gunna bother replacing mine just yet. That would probably be more of a headach then just not unsing the e-brake when its below 32 degrees.

Mine just did it too. Last two days. Drove it to dealer and they will replace cables. I have a real problem just leaving my car in gear. I use brake for lots of reasons. And if you think your "E" brake will stop the car in an emergency doing any speeds above 30mph, just find an open spot and try it. Its better than nothing but....It is a PARKING brake.

RE: EMERGENCY BRAKE FROZEN/STUCK
Mine had a frozen e-brake cable I drove to work with the rear brakes smoking. Called the Ford dealer and they sent a tow truck and replaced the brakes and cable. Went about 2 weeks and happened again So I called another ford dealer and they towed it again and replaced the brakes and cable they said the first ford dealership did not use the correct part they used old stock cables which should have been sent back to ford. I recieved a statement from ford and had to send in a copy of the reciept so they could streighten out the problem. But seems great now. I do live in minnesota where it gets cold as heck.

RE: EMERGENCY BRAKE FROZEN/STUCK
Thanks for posting the TSB. I'll take it with me and make sure they use the right replacement parts. They untangled my E-brake after it stuck on and told me not to use it. The replacements are on back-order. I have premium care warranty. Since this has a TSB, should they be charging me the $100ish they are trying to to replace the E-brakes?
