Default Engine misfire issues

Has anyone had problems with the Check Engine Light coming on in their car multiple times. It has happened to me about 5 or 6 times since I bought it last April. The dealer reads the code as an Engine Misfire. The car has a noticeable shutter when the light comes on. I have had it with this thing and am thinking about a Lemon Law Claim. Just curious if anyone else has had this problem.

Did you ever have to take it to be cleared? If so, what were you told.

Thanks

i never took it in because it only happened a few times and also because the CEL stopped flashing right when i layed off the gas

i posted about the problem a week or two ago and people opted for the misfire issue

I had a similar issue with mine. When I would accelerate moderately the car would stutter but if I floored it revving high it ran pretty well. This may sound silly but it turned out to be one of my spark plug wires was bad. The plug wire had a split near the the plug and it was arcing pretty badly at times. Replaced the wires and all is well. Something to consider.

The same exact thing happened to my 1995 Chevy Lumina. It would stumble and stutter, and the CEL would come on. Same thing. Turned out to be a bad wire. Nothing was visible upon inspection, but after testing with an OHM meter it was obvious.
