I have always been a hughe fan of the old Mustangs, the 05-on look is what I like, I'll make my pony as fast I can make it but I don't think I can trade in for a Camaro or a Challenger..... Dude that's Blasphemy!!!!!

Anyways, the way the market is going..... just like PC's..... buy a car now and in six months there will be a monster more powerful..... at some point I have to say enough.

Love my pony, I'll get a S/C, and replace some engine internals and gears....... that's all the power I want. (If you wanna race build yourself a stroker!!!!!)

I wouldn't say this to anyone who has one of those Porsche Cayenne turbos...they do 0-60 in what, 4.6 seconds? Actually, there are now a few suvs that could kick even a new GT mustang's *** up and down the track all day and all night. They all cost about twice as much as a GT though.

I don't know man. My Dads 05 Durango 5.7L Hemi is pretty freakn fast. i'm not sure exactly if it could take a stang b/c of gas prices and you can noticably see the fuel gauge dip when you get on the peddle.

Well, I'm well on my way to having one of the turbocharged Chevrolet Trailblazers with the 4.2 L6.

Sure, it took a lot of work to be this fast, but it cost way less than the SS, is unique, and is faster than the SS by quite a bit, believe it or not. I had a GT pull up to me yesterday, and imagine the shock on his face when I roasted them for 25 feet and still beat him. (transfer case wouldn't switch fast enough, hahahaha!)

Anyways, the point of the "story" is, don't underestimate anyone. I always treat races like I have no idea what the outcome will be, and I'll always be cool with the guy if he beat me.

By the way, the Cayenne Turbo smokes me like Bob Marley smoked weed.

hey your friend has no idea what he is talking about my GT is at 280 and i blow every SUV that has tried me and i havent lost one yet. One of my boys has a V6 its stock and he still takes thoese houses on wheels.

go race the nissan armada.... if u dont get a decent launch its a close race on the street with a stock mustang... i was ONLY just pulling it in 2nd at 5-6k. good race tho.. honestly tho dont mess with any diesel trucks, i used to have a ford 6.0 diesel, with x cal2 tune, intake and a 6 inch exhaust, and trust me that thing would kill a new mustang GT up to 75 mph... i creamed many fast cars including a new corvette (auto). so again dont race a diesel truck.. u may just find a modded 1. my truck went from arround 570rwt to over 750 rwt and from 280 Rwhp to over 400RWHP... and trust me most diesel owners use a tuner and add 100hp intantly. 1/4 in 13's but 1/8 is MUCH lower because of the gearing.
