Default Rim width help!!!

Hello, I'm new to the forums and the whole Mustang thing, I've had a Black 04' GT for about 3 weeks now. I need new tires and would love to put 245's in the front and 275's in the rear. But I dont know the width of the stock rims. It's the Premium package so the rims kinda look like the Cobra's..not the Bullits. Help me out and point me in the right direction. Thanks

275's in the rear and 245's in the front will be perfect.. Its what the mustang should have came with from the factory. As far as the width of you wheels im pretty sure they are 9's but im not 100 percent sure on that.

Measure the distance between the outer faces of the wheel flanges and deduct 1". That'll be close enough for most alloy wheels. For steelies, deduct 1/2" instead.

How to measure the distance between the outer faces of the flanges? Lay the wheel/tire on a flat surface (an unbroken concrete driveway or sidewalk or even a piece of plywood laid on the ground will do) and measure the width of the tire between a straightedge laid across the tire and the ground. Measure the distances between the max tire width and each flange using the same straightedge (normally these should be equal) and subtract.

Example: If your tire is 10.5" wide at its widest point and there is 3/4" clearance to each flange on an alloy wheel, that wheel is 10.5 - (2 * 0.75") - 1" = 8"
