Default whats up with these wheels?

i have some knock off cobra rims on my mustang. They were always dull, and white looking. I polished them with mothers aluminum polish and a mothers powerball. They looked good for a day, but they are already turning back dull, and white, and spotty. Whats going on?

do you have a picture of them? if they are just polished then you can try a polish that I make at home, but if they are covered with a coating of plastic, then they will just look wet for a while then when the polish dries it will look dull again..

Thats a picture of the side of the car. It's not a close up of the wheels though.

I cant tell if they are polished or just chromed... but try this, take 000 steele wool and rub it against the inside edge of the rim where nobody would ever see it, and if it cleans it up and does not scratch it then its chrome, and you can clean the whole rim with the steele wool, if it scratchs it, then its polished, and you need to use some stuff on it, that I am going to post on this site under detailing tips..
