Default wheel question...

AmericanMuscle.com sells the 17x9 replica saleen for the 2005+ mustang but not for my 01' GT. All that i've seen different from the wheel for the 2005+ and a wheel that should fit my car is the offset. the 2005+ wheel is +36mm and the offset for my car is +24mm. May be a stupid question but I don't totally understand what it means by offset. Will these wheels fit my car? I know the bolt pattern is the same but if the wheels will go on without rubbing what will this different offet cause as far as the way it looks?

I know other sites sell the 17x9 for my car but American Muscle only wants $120...

Default RE: wheel question...

Offset is the distance from the centerline of the wheel to the wheel's mounting surface. Given the same width, a lower offset number means that wheel is positioned more toward the outside of the car.

Those wheels won't work
