I just bought 17 x 9 front & 17 x 10.5 rear for my 96 GT. It is lowered and currently has 9" with 245/45-17 front and 285 on rear. I am wondering (before I buy tires)if a 315 will fit on the rear - with out any modifications ?? Any suggestions? I am thinking Nitto 555's since most people here suggest them - I had Kuhmo Ecsta ASX's.

It is my belief that you can fit 315's on the rear of your car. I know you can on a New Edge as I will be running them on 11's by this Friday.
The best way to figue it out is good ol' fashioned measuring. Park your car on an angle at the bottom of a steep driveway and measure clearance from tire to all points close. Look up the width of your current tires 285/35?/17' and then the proposed tires you want, then do the math.
