Are there any downfalls in having small backspacing. I think I might go with a wider look on the rear tires of my fox.

This is all subjective appearance, until something rubs.

If your thinking about deep-dish, this is created by two means. The first is such a wide wheel, that much or most of the wheel is on the neg. side of the off-set and such exposed to view from outside (what you see when looking at the side of you car). The other is a little more tricky and can be done on a quite narrow rim. The 'spokes' or face of the wheel will be curved or 'dished' toward the back of the wheel exposing a larger surface between the face and outside of wheel. American Muscle (site sponsor), has many wheels that are the same dimensions, but are DD as well asstandard and is accomplished in this mannor.

To my knowledge, you are going to max out running 9's all around,but have heard you can squeeze 10's outback (without tub modifications). You can rotate thequad shock and will help clearance. I ran 245/40/17's on my '85 GT on 2' dropand had zero rubbing issues. I recommend the old fashioned way...... measuring.

I have explained how to do this several times as of late and don't wish to do it again. Look back through the last week and read my reply posts. You will find how to PROVE the room you have for wider/taller tires and wheels.

Forgot to say the 245/40/17's were on an 8' rim but am positive I could have installed 9's.

The old hind-site issue rears its ugly head again [:'(]
