Default Wheel width...

I have heard of shops that add inches in diameter to wheels. They basically get a wheel, cut the rear lip off, weld the amount of size increase you want, & weld the rear lip back on. (You start with an 8" wheel & they add 2", then you end up with a 10" wheel)

Anyone know any of the shops out there that do this?

Thanks!

Default RE: Wheel width...

I just had this done to my 9's and 10.5's and ended up with 10's and 11's. I did MUCH research the the best place I found was Weldcraft Wheels. Check my sig for results (see 'Toyo R888's' pic). Cost me $1050 (reguardless of how wide you go in 1/2' increments) for all four widened and shipped back to me. I had a brand new set shipped directly to them from Hardcore Mustangs (site sponsor), so figure another $150 or so to ship your wheels to them.

EDIT: They will widen as much as you want, but need to do your homework to confirm EXACTLY howwide to goand CONFIRM that you have the clearance, Clarence [8D]
