Wheel Offset
I'm looking to get these wheels for my Cobra, but have a few questions. I currently have a set of polished Cobra R's on that I'm tired of. They are 17x9, with a +23mm offset. Tires are 255/45/17. These are the rims I'm looking to get now http://www.v8power.com/item--Rev-OE-...--REV190C.html
I emailed them and they said that the offset of these is +28mm. How much difference is there from the ones I currently have on? Reason I ask is I'm trying to get the rims/tires to be as flush with the fender well as possible. Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks

Look on the back of your existing wheels. It should have an off-set marking. Seems to me, my '85 Fox was 22mm off-set, so I don't see an issue at all there. Besides, the site says the wheels are rated for your ride, so you should be good either way. I bet your REAL tight with a 9" wheel on a Fox.

BTW, I have a '95, I thought Fox's were like mid 80's-early 90's?
My front wheels/tires up front are pretty much flush with the fender as it is now (255/45/17). But my backs (255/45/17) sit back in about 1" from the fender. Do I just put a wider back tire on to help this? Or should I put some 1" spacers on the back so I can keep all 4 tires the same?

I am not sure how wide a tire you can run on your Fox. I would do a search for 88Mach1 posts in this section and read up. He has extensive knowledge on the Fox and 9" wheels and has lots of info in the most recient threads of a month or so back.
With that said, the wheel itself will be slightly farther back than current and tire will not change this. It will fill the wheel well a bit more, but increase the likelyhood of rubbing as well.

The '79~'93 Mustangs are referred to as "Fox body". This is easier to refer to them this way as they all have the same body and frame. There are differences in trim and such, but mechanical parts are mostly interchangeable. The '94~'98 is an SN95 and the '99~'04 is commonly called "New Edge". This is based on the SN95 platform, but the body had some sugnificant changes and wheel wells, for example, have just a little bit more room. Sometimes called a "SN95/New Edge" as well.

From the start, I was thinking you were pre-SN95, so my appologies. Let me re-read your posts, my replies and figure out what I was thinking

*reading... reading.......*
............ They will fit just fine

EDIT: let me elaborate on the spacers here. I run 1/2" spacers on my ride along with longer/stronger studs. I am not sure I am so comfortable going 1", but have seen it done. I don't know how much is "required" to securely hold lugs, but mine have over 1" of threads and sure is overkill. I would like to see 3/4", but have not discussed with any wheel persons who do mounting for a living. Install them and I will tell you a nice little trick to finding how much spacer you can run to get the look you want.
