Default '89 Mustang LX tire help

I purchased 4 rims and tires for my 1989 LX Hatchback. They are 17 x 245 x 45. My car is lowered about an 1" to an 1 1/2" lower than stock. i have noticed i am getting a slight rubbing when turning on the inside fender well. Has anyone put this size tire on this car? If so, what did you do to fix this?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks again

I ran the same tire in a 40 series and on a farther drop with no rubbing. This is an issue of wheel off-set or maybe liner rubbing?

What is the off-set of your wheels and where/how much do they rub? (be specific please)

i have the Voxx 5 bolt pattern rims because they were in expensive and i needed something right away. If memory serves me correctly they have a 5.25 back spacing. i should have purchased the rims with 245 x 40 but i didn't.
visually i can see the drivers side rubbing on the inside fender well when turning. is it possible to remove the liner to eliminate the rubbing?

With a 5 bolt conversion, you are very likely changing the traditional off-set needed for the Fox Body Stangs. Without more information, I cannot tell you if your 5.25" BS is correct. I can tell you that, the fenders can be rolled and sounds like you are hitting at the 9:00/3:00 positions of front tires? A 40 series tire is only going to give you about 1/2" additional clearance and may not be enough to help anyway.

Pics?

It does not seem to rub the fender i just see the liner with the rub marks. When i get a couple of minutes i will take some pics and attempt to post them. I am not sure how to do attach them though. it took me 10 minutes to figure out how to start a thread and an additional 4 minutes to figure out how to reply.
