Default SC Style Wheels

Hello everyone,

I would like to know if anyone is using SC style wheels on there sn95 mustang? I want to use 17x9 with 275/40/17 front and 17x10 with 315/40/17 on the rear. My car is 100% stock! Are you having any issues? Could you post some pictures? Thanks!

I recommend you run no more than a 305 on a 10", as the 315 is not a proper fit. I think a 35 series out back is also a better fit and less likely to rub. This should also keep your speedo accurate and not require a tuner to correct it.

You may get a bit of rubbing and possibly need to rotate or remove the quad shock behind the tires, but will not harm to do so. In fact, it will likely handle a bit BETTER without them.

Latemodelrestoration is selling a wheel and tire kit that recommends 315/35/17 tires on a 17x10 rim. They allow you to change the tires which come with the kit. Will there be any rubbing with 275/40/17 on the front. I hear its hit or miss!

LMR may have a 315 tire rated by manufacturer for a 10" wheel, but I have never seen one. Either way, it is not a horrible fit, just a bit oversized for a 10" wheel.

A 275/40/17" is going to be pushing it for a '96 Stang. You should fit, but AM recommends no more than a 255/40. A 275/40 is a bit tight on a New Edge and will rub a bit in most cases and has a bit more clearance than your car. I think it best not to run a 275 on a 9" wheel anyway, as it can be sloppy in the corners. I think a 265 would be good and would probably only have a slight bit of rubbing and easily corrected.

I run 315 Nitto NT555's on my 10's and 275's on the 9's and the sidewall sits flush with the wheel. Nittos run very narrow though.
