Default Please Help me find what these are...

So i bought a 95 mustang about a year ago, did not like the styling of the rims that were on it so i slapped on some stock 16"s off a 96 gt. Long story short it looks like these rims might be on the rare side? I cannot find information on them anywhere except they were possibly sold at Tire Rack in the 90's. They are an O.Z. Racing wheel, and stamped on the inside of the wheels is 17x8.5. The tires that are on it are 235's, so I also assume that also explains why they looked so terrible, the wheels were stretched on there. I will include a picture of them, if you could help me find one what they are and if i can find any replacements or just any info in general it would be greatly appreciated!!

Funny.... I recognized them as OZ before I even scrolled down to the second pic or read your post

Depending on how old they are, I would not try very hard to find replacements. Wheels just come and go too often to have much success. I would contact OZ Racing and send them a link to this page and see if they can help.

Alrighty sounds good. I got disgusted looking at them tonight and decided to paint them. All in all im happy with how they turned out and i'll end up contacting OZ to see if they have an extra center cap laying around! Thanks Jazzer!

had to throw em up against the g/f's stratus to see how they would look haha.

Looks great

Depending on your prep and the quality of paint, painted wheels don't always hold up soo well. They tend to get beat up by road debris and such, so you may need to touch them up from time to time.

PS. I had a set of 5 spoke OZ's on my '85 GT:

Added the Krylon touch to em so im sure they will hold up for at LEAST a week before they start showing some wear haha. Ok so they are 8.5 in wide rims, would would be the max and recommended sizes for tires for these rims. I did a little research and it sounds like a 255/40 would work well for this application. I'm not sure though as I am no tire expert Thanks again!

Yes.... a 255 is the max for an 8.5" wheel. They will fit nicely and have limited bulge on the sides.

As for choosing the proper tires.... what kind of driving will you be doing and what is your budget? DD, 1/4 mile... tip-toe through the twisties?

definately more of a DD with "spirited driving habits" lol but also on a budget, Im probably not gonna get tires for these rims till next spring because these rims came off my 95 gt which is my winter car, and i have a set of 15" rims that need new blizzaks, so that will def come first.

how would these do for DD's? http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

obviously they look more suited for probably track use.. but i love the aggressive patterns, and i drive my 96 gt most of the time in the summer so these would see limited use during the summer anyways, and they seem cheap enough to warrant the minimal use. Whats your thoughts?
