i have 17" cobra r reps. on my 88lx. i have 255/45/17s on there right now. how can i figure out if i can put a little wider tire on there???

 

You are pretty maxed out for a Fox, but can maybe find a bit of room out back. If you have not yet removed the quad-shocks, this can be done to give a little room. To do this effectively, you really should pick up a new set of LCA's. Don't run out and buy just ANY OL' LCA's...... one that has a spherical end. Hit up The Official Suspension Guide (sig) for details on this.

As for tire sizes, what width of wheels are you running on your ride? You may be able to find some more of that precious room via Choosing a new tire thread (sig). There is a section "I want fat meats" and has a specific way in which to check for MAX room out back.
