staggering my tires
i kno all about how pple stagger their tires to different widths for gripping and looks, but i was wondering if staggering the treads would affect the outcome of my vehicle. i was looking at bfgoodrich tires and i noticed a slight similarity in tread design with the gforce drag radials and the gforce t/a kdws. i was wondering if i put the drags on the rear and the t/a's on the front if this was going to be a bad idea.
as long as you dont get rubbing you'll be ok, however the other thing you'll want to watch out for is if you go wider you need a corresponding aspect ratio (center tire number) that will give the tire the same stock height. For instance, going from a 235/45R17 to a 245/45R17 will result in a slightly taller tire and will throw off your speedometer. As long as you get that down and theres no rubbing you'll be good to go
And welcome to the board! I just got here myself haha
