tire recommendation
When I picked up my new wheels, I decided to go with an all season tire setup. I wanted some light snow duty capability and some better cold/wet traction than my previous tires offered. I am currently on 245/45/19s and 275/40/19 rears. my wheels are 19x9 and 19x10
this has been great so far in colder weather, but I've also been carpooling with my wife in her subaru a lot lately and I'm thinking.. hell, I'd rather give up the cold perks for better warm/dry traction, but wet traction is still very important to me, as is hydroplaning resistance. I should also mention, my car is a DD and a spirited cruiser 99% of the time, and it sees maybe 1-2 motorsport related events a year.
spring time, I am going to change up tires. I'm hoping to keep it under a grand, and I am also hoping I can upsize them ever so slightly to give it a meatier appearance. one tire that caught my interest, continental extreme contact dw's .. seems to fit the bill for what I'm after, and it comes in my current tire sizing, but the only other rear size option for larger is 285/35.. and I really don't want a thinner looking rear tire.
not sure where else to look or what sizing to consider, any experts care to chime in?
appreciate the help in advance.

seems I'd have a lot of options going 255/40 fronts and 285/35 rears. the overall diameter is pretty damn close to 27", which is good, but the rears would be slightly under. think it'd look good still?
I am running the 255/40 & 285/35 on my 19" SVTs....
I like the size but really want something wider but the options are limited! I am going with Conti DW as well when I have to change out tires...these stock GT500 ones are LOUD! My buddy just bought some ne MT Street Comp tires and he really likes them in warm weather, but said they are slicker than snot under 40 degrees out! Here's the link:

I LOVE your wheels man, been thinking about those for a while now. Are the rear Deep Concaved and front standard? Gunmetal right...I wonder how the color of those differs to my wheels?

thanks man. i think you saw additional pictures with better resolution / clarity in the white stang thread in the appearance section already, ya? they are a bit darker than what you are on right now, color wise. not too far from an oem look, but dark enough to stand out a bit.
the rear has more concave for sure - but .. believe it or not, forgestar makes f14's in a deep concave model that is different from the regular f14s. I have the regular ones - the wider you go with the regulars, the more concave they are. the fronts are 9" wide and the rears are 10" wide, the 9's only have a tiny bit of concave but the rears are noticeable : )
regarding tires.. I decided to stay with the same size. I am going to go 245/45 and 275/40, and I've decided on BFG sport comp 2's - they run slightly wide for their size which is an absolute perk, and they meet all of the driving conditions I want. check em out! http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....e+Sport+COMP-2
