Default How to pick a rim/tire?

What should I be looking for when I'm looking for a new set of rims and tires?? I'll be installing some SR springs from American Muscle so thats about an 1"-1.5" drop. I'd love a wide staggered stance but how to you know what tires can fit on what rims? For rears, I think a 295/300 rear is sexyy, but I don't know. You can see my current wheels, I KNOW I can't go wide with those....

Site sponsors have LOTS of wheels listed and by the year of car they will fit. Take a look at them and see what you like and just confirm fitment for YOUR year. MAX width of tire for a particular width of wheel:

8" wide wheels = 245's
8.5" wide wheels = 255's
9" wide wheels = 275's
10" wide wheels = 305's
10.5" wide wheels = 315's

This is NOT 100% true in ALL cases of wheels that will fit your car, but very few exceptions and will need to refer to the manufacturers specs on whatever tire you ACTUALLY want to purchase.

As for tires, they should be chosen by the needs of the driver, yet decided by his/her budget.... what are they?
