Which tire should I go with?
Hello,
My 2013 Ford Mustang V6 Premium needs new tires and I am trying to decide between the PILOT 4S and the GOODYEAR EAGLE SPORT. Any suggestions/advice? Or should I go with something else all together? The Pilots are a bit more expensive but seem to have better reviews....I've read some reviews that the Goodyears can be noisy and I don't want that.
Oh and I live in California.
Thanks!

Lisamarie, if I am reading you right, you are referring to the Goodyear Eagle Sport All-Season. I have Michelins on my 2014 Mustang GT, and swear by them. If you are a "sane" driver, the Goodyear's aren't a bad choice for "all-weather" driving conditions. But, if you give priority to performance, and are willing to sacrifice a little in real bad weather, my tire of choice is the Michelin Pilot Super Sport. Tell us your driving preference, and tire size, and fellow bloggers will give you other tire options you might not be aware of.

I'd say you first need ot decided on what type tire you want and that decission can be made by deciding how you wan t to drive. Do you want something sporty that gets you 50K or 60k miles then go with the Pilot its good all season tire. On the other hand if you wanting something that pure performance then go with a summer like a Nitto or Good Year Supercar F1 tire their much more sticky but you won't get more then 40k out of them. But keep in mind neither of these tires are NO GOOD good in snow there both hot weather tires.

If you can afford the Michelin PS4S then go with that. I'm personally a fan of the Continental ExtremeContact Sport. They're pretty similar to the Michelin's in regards to treadlife and grip, but they are a little better for street driving. They have a softer sidewall and are better in the rain. Whereas the Michelin's will hold up to autocross/track a little bit better. I would say that the Continental's are 95% as good as the Michelin's, and probably make up for that with their street manners.
