The good people at Motor Trend have broadcast Ford's pricing for the 2010 Ford Mustang, including packages and options.  Not surprisingly, Ford has priced the Mustang lower than the Camaro and Challenger across comparable trimlines.

The base model Mustang coupe rings in at just $20,995, and this 210 horsepower V6 comes with a standard manual transmission, unlike the slightly more powerful Dodge Challenger SE that starts at $22,545.  The V6 Camaro is the most powerful of the 3, with 300 horsepower, and it is also the most expensive of the three, at $22,995.  The base model Mustang is the only one of the three muscle cars offering a convertible right now, so its price of $25,995 has no comparison from GM or Dodge.

Ford Motor Company has presented us with the 2010 Mustang in the base and GT trimlines, and went the extra step to show off some dealership-available modifications from Ford Racing.  The appearance changes were fairly subtle, and have given the car a more aggressive stance, but some Mustang faithful are unhappy with the announcement of the return of the 4.6L 3V, which still "only" makes 315 horsepower.

Ford has announced that there would be more announcements about the 2010 Mustang in the next few months, and it is heavily speculated that it could be something like a new Boss or Mach1 powered by a 5.0L engine hopefully making somewhere in the area of 400 horsepower, but those are just rumors so those announcements from FMC could simply pertain to the next GT500 (which there have already been spy shots..so we know its coming).

Starting on December 7, 2008 at 8pm EST, Discovery HD will air its special about the Mustang Challenger for the Miller Cup.  From the description from MillerCup.com, the show, titled Why We Race: The Mustang Challenge, sounds like it will play out like a reality game show with the drama of the races combined with off-track challengers.

Every FR500S for the series was prepared in the exact same fashion, so it comes down to team planning and pure driving ability, and those drivers range from rookies drivers to established road racers, and the support teams vary as well, from small family run teams to large multi-car teams with a large financial backing.
