whats going on with these 5.0s??

Was your friend datalogging? I know Bama and some of the other vendors out there have been great in the past but I would never mess with a tune without keep a close eye on whats going on with the engine.
Like Tight said, when I special order...I don't plan on doing on doing engine mods till after the warranty is up...

I haven't had any issues with my 5.0. Then again, I'm not going to do a tune til these aftermarket tuners figure out this engine 100%. I want to tune my car, but the risk just isn't there enough for me to get a tune. I rarely even go past 3K RPM's for me to get one so I'm keeping it stock.
I totally agree. I'm going to wait a year or 2 until these tuners get this stuff ironed out. I've got a 2012 that I picked up back in July. I special ordered it. I'm the only person that's ever drove it on the street since it left the train lol. I want a tune so bad though. I really want to tweak the throttle response.
Has anyone ran into these issues with a ProCal tune?

That dealer is going to do everything they can to void that warranty. Did you see that Ford memo from a couple of months ago regarding aftermarket parts and tunes? Magnusen-Moss act or not...

BTW it does not matter if you return your tune to stock or not.
The dealerships can see if an aftermarket tune was put on these new 5.0's even if they are returned to stock.
Right now there is more of a risk when it comes to modding these cars than the other Mustangs. Seems more problems are happening and Ford is REALLY cracking down on voiding warranties on these 5.0's when mods have been done and something goes wrong. Ford even put out a letter to the public concerning this.
Something to really think about in my opinion if you buy one of these and
want to mod it. Especially until they have been out a while and the kinks are worked out with them in the next year model or so.
