I consider myself a car enthusiast, but I always leaned toward GM vehicles. I owned a '99 Grand AM GT, 2000 V6 Firebird, 2001 10th Anniversary Firehawk (still have it), 2005 GTO, and now, a 2013 Mustang GT.

The Mustang only started to get my attention with the 2010 refresh. When the brought back the 5.0L, my eyes opened up wider and I started to read up on the car. Then, the 2013 refresh came. After seeing the 2013 on the road, I wanted to have one! So, although it did feel strange, I purchased my first Ford. People love it and ask about it all of the time. The 5.0L combined with the 3.73 gears out back pulls like hell. It's a fun car.

The only problem I have encountered is the seatbelt in these vehicles. The design is poor. I don't mind it being tight, but that plastic arm makes this ever so slight clicking sound when I am driving it. They replaced it under warranty, but the problem is back. I am probably hyper-sensitive, but it's right next to my ear.

Anyway, I bought it new on June 8th, so I have had it for a bit over a month. Try not to look at it as a brand. Look at cars as individual vehicles. Let the enthusiast inside of you decide

For what it's worth, it was sad to see my GTO go as well. Great car, but quirky.

I think that the arm is a PITA as well... The only one that makes noise in the passenger side one after my wife get out and then I drive with the windows down and then it drops making the click, but it's only that one time until it gets positioned back up.

Have you considered if the arm can just be removed?

BTW, congrats on the new 2013. I've always like the GTO's too.

Unfortunately, the seatbelt part is sold as one unit that is already pre-assembled as far as I know. It's like a clicking or very slight tap. It's not like the noise I would expect when you move the arm from the upper position to the lower position, or vice-versa. This should be the part: http://www.championmustang.com/moder...rh-p-4266.html

Also, I am not sure how safe or comfortable it would be with that arm removed. Poor design.

why you have to hear all the problems at once. Not every car is making problems.some from the start itself if they are making problems then try to make a deal with the dealer and try to change it. we have to take care of the car like a small child. rough use can create problems.

I've had my 5.0 for almost a year now. Still the best damn car I've owned. Gets LOTS of attention and onlookers, especially with the Roush axelbacks! Amazing car, but the only thing I'm starting to regret is the automatic. Stock, it shifts like a Honda Civic instead of a car with 412 hp. Really wish they got the 2013's automatic but it's all good, a BAMA tune can fix that. But the power, the handling, all of it is amazing. The 5.0 is def a car worth buying. I wouldn't touch a Camaro, with it's garbage interior and can't even see out the thing.

Speaking of which, has AM fixed the issues with the bad tunes? I've been away from this forum for about 6 months.
