Default Help Identify this noise

Just noticed it yesterday, it just popped up and of course made me worry. Quick history lesson, car is a v6-v8 swap, engine has about 25k on it now and is an '08 pre-head change motor, has pacesetter headers(hoping it's a bad weld that popped). I am switching the car over to 93 just added it the other day too in preparation for the D.O.B. blower. However if this noise is internal that may slow that install down. The car is my DD as well until I get my second car shortly. The noise comes from the passenger side head and towards the back. The noise increases with throttle as well decreases, also the car just pulls as hard and there is no noticeable loss of power.

Could this be the lash adjuster, update this morning I disconnect the pass. rear injector and the noise went away. Guessing that means exhaust

Also, the link doesn't work. Otherwise, it sounds pretty quiet to me.

Hard to tell exactly, listening through comp speakers - but it definitely sounds like it may be an exhaust leak. What gaskets did you use when you installed the headers?

The ones that came with the headers, there is some type of fluid drip off the starter that looks like oil(however it just looks like it), the only 2 places that fluid could come from are the valve cover or exhaust. I checked the oil level and that is perfectly fine.

Sounds like exhaust leaking. Does it pop when you give it gas and let off. If so, definitely exhaust. If not, I don't know what else. Did you have the V/cover off? You stated you had a leak somewhere. I'm wondering if, you had the cover off, if your cam phaser is causing the noise. Like posted, it's hard as hell to tell thru speakers. Its' so much easier to tell, when it's live, not memorex. Good luck with your project.
