2 Noises

2 Noises
My car is giving off two noises...
1st) I hear a little squeek coming from under the car. It's almost unnoticeable, I think it might be the driveshaft? It's not the fan-belts because it's under the car, and it sounds like it's turning...
2nd) Sometimes when I press down on the clutch, I hear a loud, squeeky noise. When I let go of the clutch, it stops. When I press on it again, it will either squeek again or won't squeek at all. Is this the clutch? I have 12,300 miles on my car, and I've been rolling the clutch a little now and then (when leaving from stoplights, and backing out of parking spots).

RE: 2 Noises
For #1, give more description to when it happens, how loud it is..etc etc.
#2, I ride my clutch all the time..lol it takes quite a bit of abuse to wear them out. Sometimes the squeek you hear may be your throw-out bearing going south. It happens quite a bit on the newer GT's.

Im not too sure if the throw out bearing is going because he said the noise is not there when the clutch pedal is released. Only when he pushes it. If you pushed it and it went away, then i'd put a throw out bearing in it. By the sounds of it, you might be getting a squeek in the clutch pedal it self. Might be sometihng else, best thing to do if it only has 12, + go to the dealership.

Stay away from dealerships unless they will somehow cover it under warranty, otherwise you'll pay insane amounts of $$.
Find a transmission shop and look there. Some people will suggest changing it out yourself, but I'd highly suggest against that unless you've done it before or are mechanically inclined.
You'll pay anywhere from 300-700 depending on where you go for the work. For that kind of cash, I'd go ahead and do the clutch while your at it..

A Throw-out bearing is change at a dealership. You are right about the amount of money you might pay for stuff at dealerships. But this time I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND going to a dealership. Only because there is a revised part number for that throwout bearing, because there is a TSB on it. You might pay 26.00 for a new one. And as far as installing it youre self. Its easy. Remove the exhaust and trans. Then there it is. Not quite as simple as it sounds but there isnt much you can mess up when installing a clutch. The lube tech at my dealership did one. And thats not saying much. he leaves drain plugs loose and forgets to put oil in cars. My advise if you plan on putting it in youreself, take youre time. Or if you have the money to spend have someone else do it.
