Default Tranny swap?

Was looking into getting a newer car, preferrably a new edge. I found this 99 GT and its immaculate condition, for an extremely good price, but its AUTO! I was wondering how much it would cost with and without installation included to swap an auto for manual. Also what would be a better idea, a new or used tranny? Thanks!

Just to let you know people are going to tell you that you are stupid, and to just buy one that already has a manual. I say go for it, depending on your hook ups you can do it from anywhere in the range of $0 to around $3,000.

you will need a T-45 tranny, cross member, driveshaft, clutch, clutch pedal and break pedal set up and linkage, shifter mechanism and probably a few other things im forgetting about,

my $.02, high stall torque convertor, 4.10 gears and a trans go manual valve body shift kit (clutchless manual)
