can you post a idle vid minus the song? Whats your idle set at?

I am interested to see if my baffled muffler + cams theory works out here.
Here you go.

What RPM is your idle set at? It sounds pretty high, but if it isn't then I guess the baffled muffler theory is pretty shot.

I just don't think you are gonna get that musclecar sound out of a 4.6L. Its hard to tell the car is cammed in that clip honestly, even though it does sound good.

It does sound like your idle is up around 1000~ RPM though, or at least pretty high. I don't get a real cammy sound until about 850 or so.
Ya the idle was around 1000 or so in that clip. I just started it when i took the video. Here is another video where you can here the cams a bit better. But like you said, it's nothing like the agressive cam sound you hear in the old muscle cars. But then i get to use most of the powerband with stage1 cams.

ya, imo that has a very noticeable lope. I bet its even better in person. I think I'm sold on stage 1's. thx man!

well my track times are horrible for the mods i have done. The best i ran was a 9.2 at 79mph. With those times i thought something was wrong, but i ran a stock automatic Mach1 and the best time he could get was a 9.55 at 78mph. A 97 LT1 Camaro with a catback, midpipe and a shortshifter was only able to run a 9.7. There was an SRT running 17 pounds of boost with all types of mods and a deep sounding exhaust runnning a best of 9.0. So maybe there is something wrong with the track or the weather is killing me. If you guys have any ideas as to why my times are so low that would be great. I am hoping to get a dyno pull in to see what my new numbers are since i put L/T's on. When i had shorties on i dynoed at 275rwhp and 308tq. I talked to a guy with the exact same setup as me and close to the same numbers and he was putting down a 13.2 at his track near Las Vegas. So I am at a loss for why my car is so slow. My driving isn't the greatest, but it's not the worst either. Any Ideas would be great!
