Default heads on my 99

ok so im workign two jobs now to make some money for my car. And I think my first ivestment should be some heads? I mean, because with what everybody says on this site, unless you get heads, (not headders), your going really going to get much power out of anything. So with that said, what heads should I get? I ask because I went on the americanmuscle.com website, and they seem to have listing for heads for 01-04, or 00-04 (dont remember which), but nothing for my 99? Maby im just reading it wrong? Anyways, what are some other good websites to shop at for heads? And, when I buy heads, do I need to get anythign else? (like cams, or will the stock cams work?) Please let me have all your advice. Should I not buy heads first? I have Intake, o/r H and magnaflow catback

well usually heads are pretty low on the list if your car is still fairly stock, but since you need to replace them due to either a blown head gasket or a cracked head, you can check out patriot heads, which will have the best prices, but people may say stay away from them due to issues in the past (the problem has since then been fixed). there is fox lake racing, who is about one of the best companies out there for head porting, as well as steen racing, modularpowerhouse, modularmustang racing, as well as a few others...It would make a lot of sense to do cams and valve springs since the heads are ripped apart, because doing cams down the road will be pretty expensive...and to not do cams isnt gonna give you the full potential of the heads which will be a waste considering the money you will be spending on heads. It can snow ball pretty easy, but I say if your doing heads, do a set of stage 2 N/A cams as well...a lot of places pull the heads anyways to do a cam job...

I would get some patriot stage 3 heads. Its only a $200 difference between stage 2 and stage 3 heads and im retarded for getting stage 2s instead of stage 3s. But anyways if you get heads you should get some cams too. . .

I thought your motor had to be built beyond stock to have stage III's? What I read was Stage I was fine along with Stage II but with Stage II you needed new springs. And with Stage III you needed a built motor. Correct me if I'm wrong.
