100 Octane In 2004 GT
#11
Everything that I've read on this subject says that no harm will come to either the engine or the exhaust system. However, even though it won't hurt, it won't benefit the car either; unless there's knock. What I do know, is that I'm quite a bit faster when drag racing (legally) with 91 octane than I am when using 87 octane. I don't have a tune, it's stock.
what is done to your car first off.
but to sum it up, waste your money on 100 octane if you want, let everyone know the results since you have been warned.

Upping the octane will allow you to get more aggressive with timing, which will give you more power. But simply upping the octane without advancing timing, will not help. every one is correct, that without a tune change, it won't make any diff.
