rattling sound coming from pulley(s)?
posting this for my buddy. he has a whippled 03 cobra with all the supporting mods, but he said the belt was changed because one of the pulleys locked up and shredded the belt. but the guy that replaced the belt moved the pulley thats on the slider so now it doesnt touch the belt at all and it did before. now a rattling sound comes from the passenger side of the accessory drive. it sounds like its coming from the belt tensioner but its hard to tell exactly. i didnt have a camera to record it but the pic shows where the pulley sits in relation to the belt. could this be something as simple as a bearing being worn or slack because the belt is on wrong and the pulley is placed wrong or something? the pulley is about a little less than a centimeter away from the belt.... but any ideas? my guess is that the pulley needs to be slid over to where it used to be obviously lol...but i would think that would make the noise go away?
here a couple pics...sorry it was dark out, cell phone pics
