Default Intake Issue, are you sure

Hello All,

Sorry for the strange title but I thought I would give everyone a heads up regarding the intake manifold issues. 2 weeks ago I pulled into my garage and noticed a pool of anti-freeze under the car. I checked the res. and sure enough it was gone. I put the hose in there and turned on the car and it was just gushing water from the back of the motor. I thought for sure that I had just experienced the dreaded intake crack. I pulled the intake off and inspected it and didn't see any crack. I asked around and everyone said that it was probably a hair line crack that I couldn't see. I debated for a week on whether to replace the intake or just the gaskets because they looked pretty rough. I decided to take a chance and save some money and just replace the gaskets. Sure enough the leak stopped and the car runs great. So basically I am just warning others that think they have a cracked manifold to slow down and inspect the intake and try new gaskets. THis worked for me and I thought I would share.

Thanks,

Steve
