Default 04 heads on 97 gt.....?

Ok here goes...after I started my first thread I realized that I messed it up so here goes: I bought a 97 gt. It has a tick. I don't think it is a rod because it comes and goes. If you let the car run for a while it almost goes away...but every time you rev it it comes back. Anyway, when I bought it it came with a set of heads and an intake from an o4 gt. What will I need to make them work on my car? I've been told this is a pretty common mod. Any advice will help.

Most of everything can be reused except the head bolts and head gaskets. Replacing anything else is up to you. You could dyno tune the car afterwards but isn't a must. Dyno tune will gain a few extra ponies.

Yup they bolt right on. Pretty much a no BS swap that is very common. Type "PI swap" into the search box here or do some Googling, there's tons of info out there.

FWIW, replace timing chain guides and tensioner while it's all apart.
