I liked the B cam cause .480" lift, I heard the P's flow worse over .500" of lift. The duration was about right for a nice rump rump idle and strong mid range. What really clinched it was a guy here had the B cam with a few hours use for $110, so I grabbed it. But, I did wonder if a FI cam would work as good as a custom grind for carbed applications.
gt-40ps are not worth the time to install... for an extra few bones you can get a set of REAL heads

I would recommend a set of TFS TW heads, F cam and 600 carb with matching intake
should be able to throw a nice 325 to the wheels on a 306

P's only cost me $350 including machine work. Where can I get real heads for a few hundred more?

i just dont understand why people settle for an inferior head...

do you remember the old saying... "If there was time and money to do it twice, you could do it right the first time!"

some day.. your gonna want more power... so the P's will come off and youll get something better... so your gonna end up spending the money anyway.... might as well do it now

*edit* a few hundred more...

Actually, when that day comes I already got a plan, I'll drop about 400 bills an get me 150 to 200 horsies of throttle in a bottle. At that point, my stock block is at it's stress limit but my wallet's not. I squeeze the nickel til the buffalo hollers.
