I have a 92 5.0 and just bought gt40-p heads. I was told that the BBK equal length shorties I have will not work because of the spark plugs. What headers do I need to get. I am also on a budget. Thanks

not sure but they could mean the plug boots will be too close to the header and will burn through. you might be able to use shorter plugs to get more clearance. Accel makes just such a plug for extra header clearance on Mustangs, you might get some and see if this gives you the extra clearance for the wire boots you need to clear the headers. I think I got mine at Advance Auto Parts.

I was told the same thing with my gt-40s so I used the frpp headers, which are the "correct" ones and tried the bbks. The bbks worked more than fine! Go with the bbk shorties...

I have GT40P heads and i use Mac Headers .. They make a specific header for GT40Ps .i was also able to still use my exhaust that was already on the car . i think the mac headers are 209 dollars. i bought mine as a package.

I got those heads and Mac Longtubes bolt up perfectly to them. Also get the copper gaskets because its worth it down the road.

i have those heads and i use ford motorsport headers the driverside is a little tight but the passenger side is good.
