Hey guys just registered here. Great site love it. Well anyways i just got a 88 5.0gt 5spd. Just sold my 85 z 28 350 tpi. Anyways my instrument panal lights just suddenly went out when i started it. Checked the fuse and it is fine. Any ideas what might be causeing the problem and how to fix it . Im not a electrical guy at all.<IMG src=smileys/smiley6.gif border="0">.Another thing is it really bad if you accidently mis shift from 3rd to 2nd going about 75. I am new driver so dont laugh. Can this really harm my engine, i did catch it a half sec after i did it. The engine runs fine and didnt notice anything but just want to be sure. Thnx sorry for being so lengthy.

ok first check you number 13 fuse , we can start there , im going off a 91 evtm , should be close or the same . go to your no# 13 fuse put you lights on and see if you have voltage there . if no there a prob from your light sw or your dimmer switch , cuz there before the fuse if you have voltage there , it obviously after it . if your confused about anything le me know .
