Default pump help... again

so i bought a 255gph bbk fuel pump and now i get a call from pepboys (yea yea i know) that they are installing it but its only putting out 12lbs of pressure as opposed to the normal 40lbs. its a new pump so i dont think thats the issue, any ideas?

also if this helps, he says he is testing it before the fuel regulator so its not that that needs to be adjusted. thanks

someone probably installed a clamp wrong... the pump doesnt regulate the pressure, the pressure regulator does

I would definitly say they screwed something up.

i was told by the 50resto phone rep that when pumps are bad they stop working all together. they usually dont work 50% or anything either its go or no go. is this true?

these pepboys guys were pretty sure they were right, is there anything i can say for them to test the pump out of the car to prove it is the pump instead of their installation? they treat ppl like they are retarded :/
