hooking up gauges

Default hooking up gauges

i bought a sunpro gauge set. for my 91 lx 5.0.. can i use the stock sending unit for the temp gauge? it says that any domestic sending unit will work. any help with installing the temp gauge would be help.

are they electric?

not sure how accurate the stock sending unit it. i just used a mechanical gauge and in that case no.

if your going to buy aftermarkets replace the sending unit. and get mechanical gauges...but if you have an oil sending unit its wise to use copper istead of what they give u. better to spend extra five bucks on copper tubing then having oil spray everywhere in your dash...hmm.

+ 1 on the mechanical gauges. Take the sunpros back and get mech. More accurate than electric. Real easy to install too.
