either you dont have a 383, or somethings not workin up there in that head of yours...

can you do the swap? yes, is it difficult? yes is it worth it over your current set up? negative.
unless its a terminator motor, i wouldnt even concider the effort

I'm currently working on a modular fox, its a pretty fun swap. You need new kmember and a whole new drivetrain then wiring harness, cooling, relocate a few things etc.. I'm actually doing the swap on a 92 lx myself. Lots of modifications are done for this swap, I would suggest modularfox.com to read about it. For the long run i didnt plan for most horsepower per dollar, i went for uniqueness and overall orginallity(sp??) because ther are not nearly as many 4.6 foxs as there are 302s,331,347 etc etc. If you are looking for speed, take the 302 stroke and bore it to 347, put some afr 185s heads, a custom cam, trickflow type R box intake, then all the normal bolt ons and you will have 1 mean car, for alot less then the 4.6 swap would cost.

Personally, I would turbo the 383, you already have it stroked, why not? But we still dont know the reason he wants to do the swap. Did the 383 shell out?
