When to get the tune depends on how many more changes you are going to make to the car. Unless you buy something to tune it yourself ($350 - $1,000 or so) then it can get expensive to constantly get a tune everytime something changes. In that situation, make sure you take care of all your major mods first, ten get the chip burned.
Do you know of any reputable shop that does this?

That does what? That will tune it for you or that sells the hardware to let you do it yourself? If you're looking for a tuner, unfortunately I don't know any in your area. If you're looking to get your own tuner and do it yourself, I can point you in the right direction.

Well I guess until I find (if I ever do) a shop around here that could burn me a chip, I should probably look into doing it myself since I'll have awhile to think about it. So ya I guess if you could show me a kit or something that would be greatly appreciated.

If you're really interested in learning how the comuter works and how to tune it yourself, look into buying a Tweecer RT. The Anderson PMS is a bit easier to use, but i don't really care for it. it's about twice the price of the Tweecer as well. Of course, with a Tweecer, you need a laptop, but in this day and age that's rarely an issue. And even if it is, they're dirt cheap.

Well I am pretty good at computers, I've even taken some computer programming classes. At $550, the Tweecer RT doesnt seem like a bad deal at all. I'll look into it down the road as my friends are starting to mod their cars more heavily and I'll be buying a diesel F-250 pretty soon here. Thanks.
