you can use a stock 5.0 computer and have it dyno tuned. if you want an ems you can tune yourself, megasquirt, FAST, and bigstuff 3, PMS or tweecer are all good systems

I have the AEM aftermarket computer. Sky's the limit
on what you can do.

I plan on dumping my distributor and installing the Ford EDIS-8
multi coil distributorless ignition system with mine soon.
This is similar to what LS1's run.

you having any issues with the aem. personally id never buy one because of all the misfire issues it has. some have them, some dont. aem has said they dont know whey it does that and dont know how to fix it. some people have had luck adjusting dwell time but doesnt work for everyone.

They are VERY sensitive to timing errors.
Thats why you put an OEM Ford EDIS-8 system on there and fix that.

Lets face it, distributor style ignition systems are about as old school as you can get

I just got a Big stuff 3 last night but I run boost it came off a 408 na car.[sm=drooldude.gif][sm=drooldude.gif]the wife's car runs a EPEC great system also just not around that much any more. I have also seen lots of post about the AEM but the ones that have it working right love it. a PMS is very easy to use also and not a great amount of $$. read up before you buy. there is the tweecer that is also good I hear.just so many out there

Pretty cool, you can get all those little modules and plugs on ebay
for like $50.
