Default 347 stroker head???

just doing some research and want to get some opinions. I'm looking for a set of heads for my stroker, I'm looking at the trickflow tw, afr 185's and frpp gt-40x305. In your opinion, what would be the best. I like the price of the gt-40's, but another $200 or so for the afr's? If you could, maybe with your post include an entire hci setup of what you would do if this was your motor? Btw, stock block .030 overbore, probe srs forged/dished pistons forged crank and 9.3:1cr w/58cc head. Thanks.

AFR 185s or RHS 180's would both be really, good, if you can get the RHS heads cheaper then I'd definately go that route. If you wanna spend more money you could get CHI 3V 185 heads and intake and make a 347 Clevor, it'll make wild power. And yes, they are Cleveland style heads, but aftermarket aluminum ones, not stock, the port problem is fixed in the CHI heads and they are phenominal

I think you'd need specail pistons if you want to use the TFS TW heads.
Otherwise, use them..........

Tinman, I have the Probe srs dished pistons. From all the info that I've gathered, these piston dishes should clear just about any head out there (if I'm wrong, PLEASE correct me). Basically, what I'm getting at is, with so few $$$ difference, is it safe to say that any one of the major brands would work well, just personal preferances prevail?

You got it about right, AFR RHS and Trickflow all would work good. I am sure depending on your setup one would work a little better than the other but unless you find some peoplewith the same cam and intake as you with all 3 with the 3 different heads you wont really know for sure.

Those Probe pistons should have dual valve reliefs cut in them. They should work on both inline and Twisted Wedge heads with no modification. I'd run a CNC Twisted Wedge, Canfield 195, TFS High Port, Vic Jr., or bigRHS.
