Swapping in motor, unsure of cam
I've got an '88 Mustang that needs an engine. I bought a rebuilt one from a junkyard, it seems to have really low miles, everything is really clean. My Mustang doesn't have MAF, and I'm concerned this motor may have had an aftermarket cam in it. Should I pull it out and swap in my stock one, or put the motor in first and try and run it? I'd like to keep this motor swap cheap and not convert the car to a MAF setup. The gaskets look like brand new on the motor, so I may just put it in and try it. I was also thinking of downloading a degree wheel off the internet and trying to degree the cam. What do you guys think?

1st... i say **** it... try it...if it acts up... then go back to ur stocker... if its aftermarket it usually has a grind number on it or somethin...
and i think the degree wheel is dumb... no point in trying to degree a cam you know nothing about

if you know what heads and all are on it then i would have someone reputable custom grind one for it because speed density motors not setup right for the mods will give you headaches.
