Default no spark

i just got my cobra running again due to a loose wire on the coil, after it started i ran it for about 1 hour and every thing was fine until it stalled. i killed the battery trying to restart it put a new battery in and still nothing, i figured i flooded it. went out to mess with it today and found i have no spark. coil was new but i replaced it again. and still nothing did a voltage test at the ignition module and it had 12vdc. had voltages at the two wires on the coil but i dont know what im looking for

try holding the pedal to the floor when you start it if it's not flooded to bad then it should start. could be the hall effect sensor in your distributor gone bad check for spark at plugs with an inline spark testor if you've got spark and it still won't start change the plugs i think i just had the exact same prob youre having i put new plugs in mine and it fired right up but idk if i may have done something else to help it but one of these things should help you i've got a 94 gt and have had all these problems so try these few ideas and see

usind an inline spark checker...check for spark at the end of the wires...if none ...pull the coil wire off the cap and crank it over with the inline checker installed ..if you've got spark..then most likely a cap or rotor issue.....if you've got none then either a stator in the dizzy or a tfi module or coil......check the secondary windings of the coil with an ohmmeter....not sure of the spec but make sure it reads something and not an open circuit.....there are ways to test for a no start on an efi car....check the link on this page for a efi no start by joel 5.0

first time ive worked on a car with thismany electronics, but i put a screwdriver in a plug wire with the wire connected to the coil andput it near ground with no spark. i dont know if it might be the ignition module or the stator, my wife had an eclipse and it was the computer, could it be tha computer not tellin the coil when to fire, im torn between tha 3 problems

Get your self a inline spark tester. There cheap and are a sure test vs the screwdriver to the block, also heard that you can fry your ignition system doing that on fuel injected cars. I would say thatthe ignition module is shot if you have no spark and verything else checks out. Do a search there are a few posts on the forms on how to test the module.

I had the same exact problem last summer with my 92 5.0. After checking all the msd wires and coil wires it turned out to be a bad tfi module, the big box that's on the distributor. I think it was like a 40 dollar fix.
