IMO, H pipes sound better.

BUT, its not always true that X pipes make more power. I remember reading a thread a while back about a guy switch over to an h pipe and picking up a decent amount of power (dont want to give numbers because I honestly dont remember). I do remember though that he had a HIHGLY modified motor. SO, I guess you can say it depends on your setup. The guy had dyno sheets to prove his findings also, I wish I saved the thread....[:@]

i hasve a offroad h, love the sound...i may be switching over to a catted x because my mac h rotted out...damn ct salt, how can mac claim its stainless steel if it rusts trhough...so dumb

I just replaced my old h pipe with a mac x pipe

I like the sound of the x-pipe 100000000 times more than the old h-pipe

Much smoother, it almost sounds like a modular to me instead of a poorly running tractor like it used to[8D]

(thats with mac shorties, a flowmaster cat back+tfs1 cam)

Change out the shorties for some longtubes.

The quality of sound will increase, and maybe a couple HP.

lol, ive had my o/r H and 40's since june 06, and I have NEVER had probs with police. When I first got them, I tries to drive slow around them , but now I dont even care. I drive normal, and they still dont care. I live int he south though, the po po's are usually pulling ppl over for other reasons. If they ever pulled me over, it would prolly be to tell how good it sounds. :P
