Default wheels 5 or 4 lug

Alright I am getting ready to purchace a baer brake kit for my car. baer makes a four lug and a five lug kit pretty much identical. I already have really nice wheels for my car that are four lug. so whatare the pros and cons between a five lug wheel and four lug besides wheel options?

If you like the wheels you have already, i'de stick with the 4 lug. A 5 lug conversion in pretty cheap but from what i've seen, it'smain advantage is a higher wheel selection. I've heard some people say 4 lug is weak but i've also seen 680+ Rwhp cars doin just fine on 4 lug so... I'de just stick with 4. Only way i'de do a 5 lug conversion is if I damaged an axle beyond repair and didn't have new wheels already. Nowadays though theres a pretty good selection of 4 lug wheels so it's all good.

I agree if you like the wheels you have no sence in going to 5 lug unless you plan to produce 1000+ hp. I've never heard of anyone braking the wheel studs, I'm sure it could be done on a very powerful car launching with some fatty slicks. Stick with the 4 lug it'll save you money on wheels, besides the brake kit is expensive enough.

Go 5 lug, more choices later on down the line, plus it looks better. 4 lugs looks weird on a 5spoke rim. Also its added value.

I've got a four lug car with Baer brakes and nice wheels. Fronts are 13", rears are 12". My wheels are TSW Kayalamis. It doens't look too shabby.
